Eco Installer for Air Source Heat Pump installation in Ely, Cambridge and surrounding villages

Energy My Way Cambridge were recently awarded a contract to install a Dimplex LA 6 MI Air Source Heat Pump at a property in Swavesey, Cambridge.

This commission had followed on from Energy My Way and Eco Installer becoming approved installers of Dimplex heat pumps, having attended an installer training course at Dimplex’s Southampton headquarters in January 2012.

Energy My Way Cambridge has partnered with Ely based company Eco Installer to carryout both heat pump and biomass boiler installations. David Wallman, managing director of Energy My Way Cambridge and Sam Oliver, director of Eco Installer both attended the Dimplex training and surveyed, specified, quoted, installed and commissioned the Swavesey Air Source Heat Pump.

The Dimplex Air Source Heat Pump was installed on the roof of a new build, single story, 2 bedroomed property, with the Dimplexcombined 150ltr hot water, 75ltr buffer tank installed below the heat pump in the airing cupboard. The plumbing between the heat pump and the tank were undertaken by Sam with final connection to the underfloor heating circuit and domestic hot water previously installed by the builder. The system was flushed, filled and pressurised ready for commissioning.

Electrical specifications had been provided to the builders electrician prior to commencement and once connected the Air Source Heat Pump was run for testing and commissioning.

At time of writing the Air Source Heat Pump has been running continuously for more than a week and the customer is delighted with the performance. To extend the warranty on the heat pump Dimplex require that one of their engineers visits the installation to check and make their own commissioning records. This has now been booked and once completed along with setting the programmer to the customers desired parameters we can hand over the installation to the customer.
