Pananasonic-ASHP-Eco-Installer-Huntingdon

Period:
November 2014 – Spring 2015

Installation:
12kW Panasonic Air Source Heat Pump

Project details:
Sam contacted us when developing his new family home in Somersham, Huntingdon. He explained that the property was off-grid and was keen to have an energy efficient heating system installed allowing him to generate his own clean energy.

Sam brought the architects plans to our office in Sutton, Ely to find out the suitability of a renewable installation for the new build and to see how he could financially benefit from the uptake of renewable heating.

After giving Sam advice on different technologies available, Roly and Shane arranged a visit to the property in the early stages of development to discover which heating system would be most suitable to meet the family’s heating and hot water demands. Sam explained that the main necessities for a renewable heating solution were reliability, automation, low noise levels and ease of use.

Roly carried out a complete site survey and a heat loss calculation of the 4 bedroom property. From the requirements out-lined by the family and the information from the site survey, it was decided that the installation of a heat pump was imperative for economical heating to be achieved.

We recommended a Panasonic Aquarea Air Source Heat Pump to meet heating and hot water requirements. The family can be reassured that with the sophisticated “T-Cap” technology they will have consistent power all year round creating a long-life solution with high energy savings.

Our heating engineers positioned the Heat Pump neatly in the back garden and the High Gain Cylinder and Buffer Tank in a cupboard in the customer’s home. Once the Air Source Heat Pump was firmly in place, we were able to integrate the system to enhance the capabilities of the properties newly installed under-floor heating.  Whilst our engineers were on site, they carried out the first fix heating and plumbing for the bathrooms.

The family are now living in the property and benefiting from constant heating and hot water. As the Aquarea heat pump is MCS accredited, the family is reaping the benefits from the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) for every kWh of renewable energy produced.

Panasonic’s Aquarea range of air source heat pumps deliver tangible results for homeowners thanks to its quick payback in purchase and installation costs, along with enduring savings in energy and heating bills. To find out more please visit the Panasonic Website or give us a call on 01353 669000.
