OkoFEN Biomass Boiler Installation
We were contacted by our client who was working on a new build property in Witchford. The client originally wanted Gas but this wasn’t available. He had knowledge of renewable heating and was keen on installing a small Biomass Boiler in his home. Roly and Shane visited the property and carried out a site survey which indicated that the flue would be very complicated and was unsuitable if they wished to use their attic space in the future.
Roly created a 3D model of the flue to demonstrate all the options available to the client, allowing them to choose the most aesthetically pleasing option. The most suitable solution was to install the Biomass Boiler in an out building with pipe work travelling underground from the Biomass Boiler to the pump station in the house, connecting to the hot water, radiator and under-floor heating systems.
The OkoFEN boiler uses weather compensation which adapts to the changing weather conditions. If the temperature improves outside, the heating controls compensate accordingly and reduce the heat being emitted. If the temperature drops outside, the boiler reacts increasing the amount of heat being emitted. This provides our customer with the most effective heating system which prevents overheating and wasted energy.
The client enjoyed the installation process and even helped with the process by using his JCB to lift the boiler from the lorry to its final location of the corner of his garage.
